I breed Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dogs for work, show, dog sports, guard and companions. I have several dogs doing well in the show ring, a couple that are working and have exported to the US,one of which has entered the show world and doing well plus another one going over for agility. I breed 2 or 3 litters a year depending on sales at the time.

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? Do you have sensible, sustainable breeding strategies in place to promote the health of your dogs and puppies?

Yes

At this point I only DNA test as my breeding dogs are clear of hereditary issues. My dogs are clear of hip dyplasia and hereditary illnesses. I also BAER test if requested.

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?

Yes

My puppies go for trips in the car, they mix with the pack, my grandchildren and their friends play with them and a friend comes and photos them

Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?

Yes

I have an agreement as to what I will provide if there is a problem with their puppy up to 6 months

Question. Is ensuring that your puppies go to the right home a high priority? What type of measures do you take to ensure your dogs and puppies are going to go to loving homes?

Yes

I have extensive conversations with prospective buyers and ask the appropriate questions

I offer to rehome their dog if their circumstances change and offer reimbursements or replacement for certain issues that may arise
