We are dedicated to improving the health of the breed and have been back x-raying our dogs since 2009 and DNA testing our minis for PRA Cord 1.

Breeder Questionnaire

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? Do you have sensible, sustainable breeding strategies in place to promote the health of your dogs and puppies?

All our dogs are back x-rayed for calcifications of the spine (IVDD) at a particular age and these are sent to Finland to be read. Miniatures are tested for PRA Cord 1.

Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?

Our puppies are brought up in a loving home environment and are well socialized from a young age.

Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?

We like to speak to potential pet owners and then meet them. We encourage people to research the breed to make sure the pup is a right fit for there home. If any of our puppies buyers are not satisfied with their puppy they are always welcome to return it.

Yes

it is important to find the right loving and caring home for our puppies. Research needs to be done regarding the breed and a commitment needs to be made. A dachshund is not for everyone. Questions will be asked to make sure it is the right home for one of our pups and that they will be looked after.
