Reptiles Breeder - Small Animals - Albion Park , NSW : Perfect Pets Profile

Welcome to Turtles R Us, where turtles come first everytime! We are by the hobbyist, for the hobbyist. We believe that by educating the public about these magnificent creatures on how to treat and care for them properly, turtles can and will be a fantastic choice of pet for families everywhere.

We have been keeping Turtles for close to 20 years and have been seriously breeding them for the last 7! We have spent countless hours with and around our turtles, which has enabled us to create the perfect environment for them. Here at Turtles R Us we believe that keeping Turtles is so much more than a hobby, it is a lifestyle. We breed hundreds of turtles every year, and it is only possible through a vast understanding of their wants and needs.

We are family run and very family oriented, Arthur takes care of the adult turtles, building their ponds, feeding them, pairing them up for breeding and finally harvesting the eggs once layed.. Debbie takes care of the hatchlings from the moment they leave the egg to the moment they go home with their new family.

Turtles make a wonderful pet and are our favourite past time. If you couldn't tell already, we LOVE Turtles! Please visit our website - we're sure you'll find what you're looking for. If not send us a message or give us a call. All enquiries welcome.

Licencing:
All lizards, snakes and turtles are protected under the National Parks and Wildlife Act and it is against the law to take them from the wild. You can get a licence from the DECC to keep captive-bred reptiles as pets.

All legitimate reptile keepers hold one of these licenses, upon purchasing an animal from someone you will exchange licence details and write them in your logbook. You will also include information about the transaction such as the species name you have received , its gender and whether or not it was a gift, trade or financial transaction.

Keeping records is good for everyone, it lets us know exactly how many turtles we have bred, dates they hatched and which of our turtles are breeding the best. It helps you to remember exactly how old your turtle is, its specie and gender. These records are also very valuable in a conservation sense as well, when a certain specie is threatened in the wild, the DECC can easily set up a captive breeding program just by contacting the keepers who have recorded them in their logbooks.

To apply for a reptile keepers license or to find out more see the licencing page on our website.
