Avec l'espoir "With Hope". We are a registered breeder in Adelaide Australia. Our "hope" is to improve the French Bulldog breed in Australia. After vigorous research and many many hours of talking to breeders and kennel owners from abroad, we believe that we have sourced some of the highest quality Champion French Bulldog lines in the world. These bloodlines originate from world renown kennels such as DE LA PARURE (Belgium), GLENLEE (UK), IZ PALEVYH BULDOGOV (Russia) on which Avec l'espoir has begun building its foundation and its journey to breed a healthier, brighter, future for the French Bulldog in Australia.
We understand that breeding the French bulldog correctly is not an overnight exercise that can be taken lightly. We are dedicated and have a vision to continuously improve the breed in the interest of the breed, for its health, appearance and character. We breed and raise our French bulldogs with LOVE and believe that our puppies will bring an enormous amount of joy to all those who purchase one of our little beauties. Are you looking to show, breed or just own a French bulldog for your family? We would be happy to answer any questions you may have - All enquiries Welcome.
The French Bulldog:
The French Bulldog is one of the most beautiful companions one could have. French bulldogs love to be in your company. They have a very serious look about themselves but their clown like character, big ears and big eyes give them away as they are just clowns who love to make friends with people and other animals. French bulldogs are happy to live on a farm or in your apartment, but definitely not a breed you want to neglect or leave for long periods of time. The French bulldog is a breed that will only suit someone who will enjoy and be willing to spend quality time with them.
Our French Bulldogs are absolutely wonderful with children and love all the attention they can get. We love to take our dogs along to the beach or playground with our kids and find its a simple, enjoyable way to teach them to socialise with other dogs and people. They can be snorty at times and a little dribbly but other than that are very clean intelligent dogs. When at the beach be watchful when they enter the water as the French Bulldog needs to be supervised, as their enthusiasm to swim way out-weighs their ability due to their weight. Our experienced girls would normally swim about 5 meters before they need to be supported. Our Frenchies are brought up in our family environment and are welcome into our home. They are friendly with our cats and chickens and do not annoy us or our neighbours with nuisance barking. They will alert us when we have visitors other than that they are a very relaxed type of dog. In our Australian summers one must ensure that there are nice shady spots with plenty of fresh drinking water and a shallow pool for them to cool off in as they can suffer from heat stroke. Better still keep them in your home in an air-conditioned environment.
